What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician position at Aerotek?
Description: This individual will be paired with a foreman for each job, partnership might vary on job. Technician will be traveling to commercial gas stations to test and diagnose pump stations in the Northeast with a foreman. Most of the work will be same day and within Greater Philadelphia.
- Utilize basic hand tools (Drills and screwdrivers) to remove coverings and perform minor repairs (ie. Broken gauges, cracked screens)
- Connect laptops to stations to diagnose codes and update compliance.
- Reading gauges and meters.
- Prep the site for testing by setting up cones and setting up safety equipment.
- Outdoors under coverings (think gas stations when you are fueling up)
Shifts/hours: M-F (usually no weekends unless required) Expected to work up to 60/hours a week with OT. Expect to travel 1 days every month out of town (overnight stays) with $50 per diem rate and paid hotel stay. Travel isn't extensive and would be regionally - about 30%.

- Outdoor work experience - Will be working at commercial gas stations, not 100% in the elements but working outdoors under gas station coverings. Must be able to lift 10-50lbs
- Willing to work overtime and travel overnight when needed.
