Description:
Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the maintenance. coordinating work within the department, as well as with our departments and divisions. reporting pertinent information the immediate supervisor.
Maintains reliable transportation.
Ability to work at heights, inside confined spaces, and wear respiratory protection, etc.
Abides by current laws and organizational policies and procedures designed and implemented to promote an environment which is free from harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
Performs a variety of duties to support railcar repair, paint, and blast in an indoor/outdoor environment that is not temperature controlled.
Layout, position, align, and fit components together.
Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure in position for welding.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts. Repair can include cutting, grinding, carbon arc, or oxy-acetylene torch.
Read blue prints or follow verbal instructions for repairs and fabrication according to AAR/FRA and customer requirements.
Operate equipment and machinery such as forklifts, scissor lifts, overhead cranes, etc.
Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness and the company's compliance with all regulatory requirements. Must be cognizant of environment and surroundings at all times.
Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested.
