What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laser Scanner And Programmer position at Aerotek?
Aerotek on behalf of its client, is seeking an experienced aerospace Laser Scanner & Programmer. Direct hire, pay range $31-38/hour DOE.
- Responsible for CMS programming as well as developing, applying, and maintaining quality requirements and standards for development and manufacture of products.
- Responsible for conforming to the company's quality system procedures as documented as well as maintenance of the QMS.
- Responsible for BOEING accreditation and recertification in Three-Dimensional Scanning Systems.
- Is fluent in ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) to work with CATIA V5 and Polyworks software to interrogate models/engineering data in determining product conformance.
- Performs quality tasks to include but not limited to: First Articles, Final Product Review, support production to reduce internal scrap through the utilization of analysis methods.
- This is a unique opportunity to develop a new position to increase the capabilities of the Quality department.
Skills:
- CMM, GD&T, Quality Assurance, Laser Operation
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 4 years of Aerospace Quality Assurance experience required, preferably in a build-to-spec manufacturing environment.
- 4 years' experience of CMS programming - Preferred knowledge of Creaform HandyScan.
- 4 years 2D modeling experience preferred (CATIA V5 or SOLIDWORKS)
- Fluent in ASME Y14.5, GD&T.
- Fluent in the use of inspection hand tools, gauges, and surface plate work.
- Boeing document knowledge required.
Education:
- Vocational school, equivalent or higher in CAD modeling or related discipline.
- Technical coursework related to blueprint reading, application of AS9100 in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Work Environment
- Day shift: M-F 7:00am-3:30pm
- Moderate noise level.
- Exposure to chemicals, dust, fumes, noise and varying temperatures.
Experience Level:
