Machine Operator

Aerotek is hiring for multiple openings at a local manufacturing company with a starting pay of $18.00/hour - $22.00/hr Shift Differential . This is a long-term 4-month contract-to-hire opportunity. Additionally, candidates with more experience may be eligible for a higher starting wage. This position will start ASAP!
Shift Hours:
1st Shift - 5:30 am to 2:15 pm Monday - Friday
2nd Shift - 1:30 pm to 10:15 pm ( $1.50 shift diff) Monday - Friday
3rd Shift - 9:30 pm to 6:15 pm ( $1.75 Shift Diff) Sunday - Thursday
Job Description:
There are multiple areas that candidates may work in:
Packaging
· Working in the plastic extrusion department performing assembly and packaging support.
· Assemble housing for cartridges using hand tools, labeling cartridges and packaging.
· Take spools of the machine, put them in plastic, and load the machines
Machine Operating
· Candidates will operate extrusion machines that are used to extrude polymer
· Other objectives are to become cross-functional into other areas and to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Set up will involve loading and unloading spools of material from the machines.
· Assisting packagers with packaging of cartridges while machines are still running.
Assembly
· Candidates will operate current and future 3D Printer assembly processes within the set specifications determined by engineering. Other objectives are to become cross-functional into other areas and to maintain a clean and safe work environment
· Assemble and package product to established processes.
· Identify and report any issues with quality.
· Function in a self-directed and team environment.
· Maintain a 5S work environment.
· Maintain other work areas during periods of downtime or extended product run time.
· Sub-assemble parts as needed by the extrusion operators.
Qualifications:
- No manufacturing experience required, but 6 months preferred for packaging roles
- Must have 6 months of prior machine operating or assembly to be considered for these roles
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
