What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Quality Inspector position at Aerotek?
Urgently Hiring Mechanical Quality Inspector!
- Perform mechanical inspections on machined parts and assemblies using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure that parts and assemblies are manufactured to the required quality standards
- Record inspection results and generate reports as required
- Work with the engineering and production teams to ensure that parts and assemblies are manufactured according to specifications
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure that all quality-related issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner
- Train and mentor junior inspectors as required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with relevant technical training or certification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanical inspector in an Aerospace/Defense parts manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection principles, methodologies, and equipment
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and AS9100 quality standards
- Read blueprints and use measuring tools.
