Description:
Press Operator:
1st Shift: 5:00 - 3:30pm (Monday-Friday) OT available after shift or on Saturday
2nd Shift: 4:30pm - 5:00am (Monday - Thursday) OT available after shift or on Friday
- Operate 400 - 4,000 ton Stamping Presses
- Set up and feed metal to be fully stamped to customer specifications
- Read and interpret blue prints and work instructions
- Ability to read calipers, micrometers, and ability to use gages to inspect parts.
- Manual Stamping press operation as well as automated press operating
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Complete required paperwork accurately and efficiently to verify work
- Must be willing to rotate to different work areas as needed based off production needs
- Accurately load steel coils and feed into press and align with tooling
- Set and run presses within standard times, maximizing uptime
- Ability to communicate die repairs to die shop personnel
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards
- Perform required preventative maintenance
- Report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to supervisor
