Repair Technician

Follows instructions on procedures for evaluating, and repairing returned pumps

• Works under limited supervision
• Primary job functions typically require exercising independent judgment
• Duties include hi-pot testing pumps, test-run pumps, draining diesel fuel from pumps, and tearing down of pumps
• Creates inspection reports based on evaluations, takes pictures if necessary, generates final findings, and submits final findings for review
• Refers to the Return Pump Log to identify next pump in line to be evaluated or rebuilt
• Responsible for rebuilding, leak and performance testing, and preparing pumps for return to customer
• Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates including maintaining the cleanliness of the shop, and reporting daily status to Repair Department Supervisor
