What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solder Technician position at Aerotek?
Solder Technician - Laceys Spring, AL
$18-25/hour
7AM - 4PM Monday - Friday
Duties:
- Perform soldering tasks to assemble electronic components and circuit boards
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work instructions
- Use hand tools and equipment to fabricate and assemble electronic products
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Troubleshoot and repair any defects or malfunctions in the soldered components
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in soldering or electronics assembly preferred
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and logic controllers
- Familiarity with using calipers for precise measurements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in soldering tasks
Skills:
- Experience with PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly and soldering techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wire cutters, pliers, and screwdrivers
- Knowledge of different soldering methods (e.g., through-hole, surface mount)
- Ability to fabricate, assemble, and disassemble electronic components
