What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at Aerotek?
Description:
Shipping/Receiving worker ensures outstanding customer service by way of quick turn-around of orders while maintaining inventory accuracy within the business. Shipping/Receiving Worker coordinates the timely processing of incoming shipments, confirming physical receipt of items to purchase orders and packing slips and appropriately warehousing the items for later retrieval.
- Provide outstanding service by ensuring customer orders are processed both timely and accurately and that any customer concerns are addressed promptly by all members of the team
- Assist all departments in locating and delivering parts to the appropriate areas within the company
- Unload and unpack incoming shipments and identify items for accuracy and correct quantities
- Prepare packages for shipment and create shipment documents
- Determine best methods of shipment
- Maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Consolidate shipping orders
- Identify and assemble product hose assemblies
- Work in conjunction with Inventory Specialist to ensure inventory accuracy
- Work in conjunction with Inventory Specialist to identify and correct inventory deficiencies
- Attend departmental training, such as safety and equipment training
- Possess sufficient strength and physical dexterity (as specified in the physical demands and work environment section of this job description) to perform the duties and responsibilities of this job
- Wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times and observe health, safety, and environmental policies
