What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Supervisor position at Aerotek?
Description:
1.Assign jobs to hourly work force in a prompt organized fashion
2.jobs are set up in a safe, efficient running manor.
3.Assure all employees are provided with the necessary tools to accomplish their task on the job; follow daily priority sheets
4.Continuous monitoring of all facets in the manufacturing process with emphasis on improving quality, efficiency and safety
5.Ensure all problems are identified, logged and corrected prior to completing the run
6.Ensure all facets of the process adhere to OHSA standards & Motor City Racks safety standards and all rules and regulations are enforced, and corrected.
7. Assure all employees are trained, and adhere to the H&S rules and regulations
8. Attend safety & training seminars as requested
9. Perform workplace inspections
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES REQUIRED
4 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
4 years in mig-welding
Strong blueprint reading & math skills
- Solid computer Skills
SKILLS / ABILITIES:
Ability to supervise, lead, direct and motivate a team to achieve and exceed their goals
Ability to remain calm and poised in urgent situations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be available for overtime as needed
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Capable of standing the entire shift 8.0 hours
Capable of lifting bending maneuvering 50 lbs. throughout the day
