Position Summary:
Responsible for performing non-destructive testing to verify the structural integrity of aluminum, titanium, steel, and other structures. Also to ensure that all work inspected is in accordance with current FAA approved technical data and company manuals and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or an Equivalent
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials and pre-employment drug test per DOT regulations
- Proficient in the English language
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify defects within landing gear that are not visible
- Perform Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant
- Research and ensure that all work is in accordance with current technical data
- Calibrate NDT testing equipment
- Conduct tests on parts to verify product conformance
- Evaluate test results
- Document work performed
- Utilize the proper PPE when applicable
- Interface with responsible Level III, peers, or internal customers for assistance and identification of requirements to resolve maintenance related process problems
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Supervisor
