JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Learning and Development Manager works under the general supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources to lead the Learning and Development strategy and initiatives aligned to AESC’s business initiatives for locations in the United States.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- In consultation with Executive Leadership, this role will function as subject matter expert to plan, design, redesign, and manage new and existing development programs, creating solutions that focus on the leadership growth, culture, engagement, integration of DEI goals, and retention of our talent that is aligned to the strategic plan.
- Designs, conducts and organizes training programs to improve employee performance and ensure organizational capability to meet business needs.
- Collects, analyzes and maintains data gathered from multiple sources (i.e., Needs analysis, survey feedback, external benchmarking, etc.) to determine organizational development progress.
- Use data and subject matter expertise to evaluate and track the effectiveness of current programs and recommend enhancements, and implement aligned enhancements as appropriate.
- Compiles data to build reports for learning and development programs to assess ROI and to help make informed decisions regarding current and future learning deliverables.
- Designs learning and development programs that are effective, efficient and creative.
- Works with external vendors and consultants to plan and coordinate talent development programs.
- Ensures the effective design and implementation of the learning and development governance and standardized processes (e.g., onboarding) to meet the business needs.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for development programs.
- Conducts training needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop appropriate learning interventions; (e.g. learning needs analysis; design and execution; measure training effectiveness).
- Develops training evaluations and assessments and follows up to determine and report on training effectiveness.
- Sources best content resources to meet training need and respect copyright and content ownership rights.
- Designs and develops learning solutions for job aids, resource guides, web-based training/e-learning, instructor-led training (ILT), and virtual instructor-led training (vILT).
- Provides thought leadership on state-of-the art learning methods and approaches and guide our organization on how to translate up-/re-skilling needs into transformational learning experiences.
- Offers practical tools and resources to support on the job learning, coaching and mentoring to nurture a growth mindset and anchor a strong learning culture.
- Owns our Learning Management System; ensures it enables a smooth, positive learner experience and provides reporting, metrics, and insights to understand learning patterns, to steer learning offerings and to measure the impact of our learning investments.
- Interacts with external customers and auditors as needed to ensure the company is in compliance with training expectations.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
- Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.
- Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education and Experience):

Minimum Qualifications - Experience
- Advanced knowledge of learning management systems. Broad understanding in various aspects of organizational development. Experience in supporting the operations across various levels and functions. Background in supporting a highly technical automotive-related manufacturing environment is highly desired.
- A minimum of seven years of experience in a human resources or organizational development role.
Minimum Qualifications – Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline required. Professional certification is highly desired.
Computer Skills and Required Software Experience
- Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advance knowledge of Learning Management software programs required. The ability to produce non-standard, creative products. Knowledge with ADP’s Workforce Now suite preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to remain in stationary position 75% of the time.
- Ability to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

- Ability to bend, lift and/ or twist.
Travel:
- Occasional travel domestically and internationally is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is primarily an office setting. However, it is expected to provide support in an automated manufacturing facility with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise and forklift traffic.
The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.
