Your day-to-day work will include:
Support DLA’s Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) in implementing and executing the Risk Management and Internal Controls (RMIC) Program in support of DLA’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiatives. Further, this involves direct support to the MSC’s Risk and Internal Control Administrators (RICA) lead(s) with the execution of a strategy that engages functional leaders across the enterprise to identify, analyze, and respond to risks. The ideal candidate will be able to assist in the implementation, evaluation, enhancement, and reporting of internal controls established to respond to identified risks.
Duties and expectations include, but are not limited to the following:
Developing and implementing risk assessment templates for further testing, evaluation, and mitigation
Identifying, developing, and mapping key internal controls in major business unit process documentation, leveraging compliant change management procedures
Review existing business process documentation to ensure compliance with current regulations, internal guidance, and best practices
Identifying deficiencies and risks, and performing root cause analyses to develop detailed recommendations
Perform tests to business processes and system controls
Review and/or update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Aids, Desk Guides, flowcharts, process maps, business process narratives or other programmatic process documents to support the MSC’s RMIC program
Assisting with implementation of management solutions, to include developing training;
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Mandatory: Four or more year’s of work experience
Preferred:
Familiarity with DoD and DLA financial management policies and procedures.
Familiarity with SFFAS No. 3, 6, 23, 10, 35, and 42; Technical Release 13, 14, and 15
