A. F. Amorello & Sons is currently recruiting for the position of a GPS SURVEYOR . A. F. Amorello is a heavy civil company located in central MA that specializes in site work / roadway construction/ utility installation and paving project in Central and Eastern Massachusetts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for managing data on multiple projects, such as machine control models, layout data, and as-built data, as well as being able to provide support to project superintendents and project management for quantities and CAD drawings on projects .Utilize Trimble survey equipment and software including GPS and manage Machine Control equipment

• Software used includes SCS900, Trimble Access, and Trimble Business Center

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Creating 3D models for layout/machine control is a plus
• Assisting projects with tracking quantities
• Calculating layout for multiple projects
• Creating files for machine control
• Creating as-built plans
• Generate surfaces from scan data
• Tracking survey equipment inventory
• Proficient in use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc..)
• Operating all types of survey equipment (laser level, Trimble base & rover etc)
• Assisting project managers on bid takeoff when necessary, RFIs, submittals and daily reports

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 years of construction related experience desired
• Valid Driver’s License
• Advanced CAD Skills; i.e. create points, alignments, profiles, drafting plans, grading models
• Construction survey experience required
• working knowledge of Trimble Business Center
