What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical assistant prn position at AFC URGENT CARE?
AFC Urgent Care is a full service urgent care with two suburban locations. We are looking for a PRN / as needed Medical Assistant to help provide staffing coverage.
The minimum expected shifts for this position is 2-3 shifts a month or more if needed based on clinics needs.
General Accountabilities
- Perform administrative tasks, such as bookkeeping procedures and insurance claims processing.
- Establish and maintain patient records.
- Communicate with patients regarding disease prevention, health maintenance, community resources, and physician instructions.
- Assist with patient procedures and in-office surgical procedures.
- Front desk duties to be assigned as well.
Basic Requirements
- Current CPR Certification
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program, and have received certification.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience
