What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slot Director position at Affinity Gaming?
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for partnering with the casino operations teams at Affinity Gaming properties to ensure the slot floor performance is optimized. Providing guidance to the property on slot floor layouts and best practices in slot and system maintenance. Developing effective relationships with the slot vendors to understand emerging capabilities in their products and recommend how Affinity would benefit by implementing those products.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage 1 direct report and vendors as needed.
Provide direction to property slot teams.

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
- Establishes and administers procedures pertaining to proper coordination of all operating activities relating to EGMs
- Responsible for optimization of Affinity Gaming’s’ slot floors, asset performance, game placement and product mix.
- Recommends changes in the physical layout of slot machines to promote the most effective utilization of equipment, manpower and floor space
- Responsible for analyzing property slot operations to ensure maximum profitability and efficiency.
- Maintain a current and accurate inventory of all EGMs at all Affinity Gaming properties
- Develop standards for slot floor cabling and EGM Maintenance. Work with properties to ensure slot floor maps are current and accurate.
- Work with all Properties to assist with EGM adds/moves/changes.
- Available to assist all Properties with technical support related to EGMs.
- Interacts with vendors and sales personnel concerning new products, purchases, repairs and maintenance.
- Identify compliance risks and take actions necessary to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Position requires travel to Affinity Gaming’s properties to understand their slot operations and assist with projects as necessary.

- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Work requires extensive knowledge of Slot Operations and slot equipment.
- Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results.
- Ability to effectively work with teams in a distributed environment to reach objectives set by management.
- Demonstrated ability with slot data management and analytic tools.
- Excellent problem solving, administrative, multi-tasking, organization and prioritization skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office applications required.
- Knowledge of IGT Advantage and Aristocrat Oasis applications preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in Slot Operations is preferred.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain gaming licenses where we operate.
- Must possess a local valid driver license.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

*MATHEMATICAL SKILLS*
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

*COMPUTER SKILLS*
- Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
- Experience with IGT Advantage, Aristocrat Oasis a plus.
- Experience with Tableau a plus.
