The Merchant Pricing team is responsible for the pricing strategy and analytics for products and initiatives that span across Affirm's entire portfolio. We strive to deliver value to our merchants and consumers. In this role, you will help Affirm go to market with new products and expand into different markets by devising strategic pricing solutions and their monetization strategy.
You will work closely with Product, Commercial, Marketing, Credit, Finance, Capital Markets, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and strategic approach, as well as interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally and drive forward initiatives. This is a high impact per square foot role and provides visibility with leadership across the organization.
What you'll do
- Formulate data insights and work with various cross-functional teams to identify areas of new growth, monetization channels, competitive landscape, and positioning in new markets
- Structure new pricing strategies and go-to-market rollouts for our B2B products in a digestible and scalable framework to strengthen our positioning and deepen merchant relationships
- Conduct analyses on sophisticated and open-ended questions at the intersection of profitability, growth, and risk; present findings in a clear and concise manner to influence partners across Commercial, Product, Capital Markets, Credit, Finance, etc.
- Ownership of end-to-end analytics workflow, define success, implement data requirements, conduct analyses, generate insights and hypotheses, monitor performance, and socialize results across relevant teams.
What we look for
- 3 years of experience in an analytical strategy role (consulting, investment banking, finance, analytics, pricing, deal desk, etc.)
- Strong experience with analytical tools such as SQL. Python is a plus.
- Passion for fintech and consumer lending
- Eager to seek out new opportunities, navigate ambiguity and develop creative solutions using data
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships and work across all organizational levels
- Strong work ethic - able to take ownership beyond own responsibility and run timelines/deliverables effectively
- Masters degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Computer Science or related quantitative field is a plus.
