Job Description:

Functions & Responsiblities Essential

Designs are functional, easily manufactured, and meet customer expectations.
Designs are completed according to schedule.
Designs meet Afinitas engineering standards.
Design analysis, drawings, and bills of material are accurate.
Coordinate layout and design of equipment.
Perform design analysis for equipment.
Create manufacturing drawings for equipment.
Create and complete bills of material for equipment.
Track manufacturability issues from operations
Update models and drawings to eliminate manufacturability issues.
Work with manufacturing on build processes and improvement
Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office software effectively.

Qualifications

Pursuit of technical 4-year education or technical 2-year education required.
Basic understanding of:

Drafting standards, dimensioning, and tolerances
Mechanical power relationships such as horsepower, torque, speed
Strength of materials and structural analysis
Manufacturing processes

Training and/or experience in using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
Training and/or experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3-D modeling software.
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Attention to detail.
Ability to learn through job-shadowing and observation.
Work individually as well as in a team environment.
Takes personal ownership and satisfaction on quality work.
