Job Summary
Reporting to the Vice President of AFL US Services and serving as a pivotal member of the MarCom team, the Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications, US Services will support the VP in spearheading the development and execution of marketing, public relations, and corporate communications strategies. This includes providing leadership and support across AFL US Services and its entities: ITC, OTS, DGP, Beam, Spligitty, and AFL Enterprise Services. The role is crucial for enhancing our brand reputation, driving awareness, and contributing significantly to our strategic sales, marketing and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Vision, Strategy, and Leadership
- Articulate and promote the President’s values, vision, and mission alongside key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic marketing plans ensuring managed growth and financial stability across the US Services family of companies.
- Lead philanthropic initiatives, emphasizing corporate social responsibility and community engagement.
- Serve as a dynamic force in ideation, fostering innovative problem-solving across marketing and communications challenges.
Marketing, Advertising, and Sales Support
- Architect and oversee the execution of AFL US Services' marketing, advertising, and public relations plans, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives.
- Develop compelling marketing and promotional materials, managing from conception through distribution, including digital marketing & social media strategy
- Produce comprehensive campaign using your skills in graphic design, layout, and publishing, alongside image and photo editing, video and audio editing and production, as well as web and UX design, to create a wide range of engaging visual and multimedia content.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tactics, including SEO, email marketing, and social media marketing, to amplify the reach of marketing materials.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing tools to manage and disseminate content effectively.
- Spearhead recruitment advertising strategies to attract top talent, enhancing our employer brand.
- Provide robust sales support by developing tools and materials that effectively communicate value propositions to our target markets.
- Utilize outstanding writing skills to craft persuasive content across all platforms, including multi-million dollar proposals, press releases, traditional media, and digital content.
Corporate Communications and Public Relations
- Integrate AFL US Services' brand and culture, promoting a unified corporate identity.
- Lead the organization in creating insightful and compelling narratives that connect with our diverse audiences.
- Manage the organization's online presence, ensuring a cohesive and engaging user experience that reflects our brand values and market positioning.
- Organize and coordinate meetings, conferences, trade shows, and media opportunities, maximizing visibility and engagement with our brand.
- Drive public relations initiatives that build brand recognition and thought leadership in the industry.
- Crisis Communications

Qualifications
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of ten years in a management role with significant experience in marketing, advertising, and corporate communications.
- Proven experience in a marketing, communications, or design role, with a portfolio showcasing outstanding writing and design work.
- Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns and corporate communications materials, including brochures, newsletters, email campaigns, and digital content.
- Strong track record in building, mentoring, and coaching a high-performing internal and external matrixed internal team as well as external resources.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Cloud: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO software, Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, and social media management tools.
- Demonstrated excellence in writing, editing, and content creation across various platforms and media.
- Strong editing and proofreading skills to ensure all communications are error-free and align with brand voice and standards.
- Proficiency in graphic design principles and practices, with the ability to produce visually appealing marketing materials.
