What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Community Coordinator position at After.com?

We’re far from traditional, but we offer the same services and have the same licenses and credentials as traditional funeral homes. In this role, you will represent After.com, building and maintaining relationships with hospices, particularly in the states of Utah and Colorado; which will require travel on a quarterly basis to Colorado. You will maintain relationships with partner organizations and contacts. This will include educating professionals in the hospice industry about After.com and cremation through presentations, lunch and learns and other outreach, as well as distribute marketing and educational materials. Additionally, in this role, you will attend expos, conferences and community events.
Tracking all outreach efforts is a vital part of this role. As such, you will assist in creating and developing a database of hospice organizations and contacts with focus on social workers, chaplains and nurses.
We are rapidly growing and expanding our operations into new states to allow us to help even more families during their time of need. This is a full-time, in-office position based out of our Provo, Utah office.
Qualifications
- Licensed Funeral Director is desired, but NOT REQUIRED.
- Willingness to travel from Ogden to Spanish Fork and to Denver Colorado
- Task-driven and efficient, with strong background in making deadlines
- Adaptable and teachable, with a willingness to learn and improve
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience building and creating relationships with hospices, hospitals, and other organizations
- Ability to build trust with individuals quickly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Work closely with growth team and own all hospice outreach for all of our Utah and Colorado markets. This includes routine in-person hospice visits.
- Attend industry conferences and networking events to be a face of After to the community and industry.
- Occasionally work on special projects to assist at-need growth like local PR and possibly larger content and PR and content initiatives.
- Occasionally work with internal content team on producing guides and content for SEO and education.
- Licensed Funeral Director is desired, but NOT REQUIRED.
- After will cover the costs of maintaining your FD license in one state if you have your license.
- Attendance of Preneed, Senior Living and more outreach opportunities.
- This role will require Travel to another state (likely Colorado).
- Organization upkeep and maintenance of hospice database in Pipedrive.
- Experimentation on actions we believe could have a long-term impact on referred cases.
- Coordinating with the Care Team to ensure all social worker related interactions are tracked and followed up on.
