What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Office/Back Office Medical Assistant position at After Hours Medical Group?
Family practice and aesthetic practice looking for a full time medical assistant to be cross trained in the front office and then back office.
Front office responsibilities:
- Make appointments, check patient in.
- Process intake of paper work
- Process, verify eligibility.
- Process referrals and authorizations
- Able to read insurance eligibilities from HMOs, PPOs, Medi-Cal, Medicare
- Able to collect correct copay, deductibles, coinsurances
- Answer phones
- Assist with faxes
- Sell aesthetic products
- Use electronic charting and create invoices
Back office responsibilities:
- Vital patients
- Input vitals
- Give breathing treatments, injections
- Assist with procedures
- Perform peak flow tests
- Perform U/A, pregnancy test, blood glucose test, hemoglobin checks
- Sanitize rooms
- Autoclave instruments
Fluent in Spanish!
Work Hours:
- Monday to Friday 7:30M to 6PM
- 4 shifts of 10 hours
