RN Hospital Nurse Supervisor - $70/hr

Role: Nurse Supervisor

Location: Watertown, NY - Locals accepted!

Contract Duration: 13 weeks contract with a possibility of extension

Pay rate: $70/hour - paid weekly

Work Schedule: 36hrs/week

Shift: 6pm - 6am

REQUIREMENTS:

• BSN, BLS, required
• Current NY License
• 3 years of acute care leadership experience required

DETAILS:

Candidate will be supervisor for the whole facility of the float pool, they are placed on floors throughout the whole medical building - not a specific unit
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred. Evidence of continued professional growth.
Three years’ experience in the clinical area relevant to unit/service patient population, including proven experience/expertise in management area.
Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles.
Demonstrates ability to provide quality patient care. Possesses ability to assess patient’s needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual.
Must have good hearing and vision abilities.
Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts or other personnel to lift and move patients of all sizes and weights in a safe manner throughout the entire shift.
Must be free of any ambulatory impairment that would restrict ability to navigate stairways and corridors at speedy rate for emergencies.
Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
Demonstrated commitment to quality, timely, and cost-effective patient care.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required.
Detail attentiveness required.
Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy.
Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints.
Proficient in the use of a personal computer including word processing.
Ability to independently take initiative and exercise good judgment in decision- making.
Professional maturity that daily sets the tone in carrying out the responsibilities of the position.
High degree of honesty, integrity and confidentiality.
Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities as assigned.
Ability to work under stress.
Current NYS RN license.
Current BLS certification required.
IV certified within six months of employment.
**GUARANTEED HOURS ARE BIWEEKLY** -- The facility schedules in two week periods.
72 hour biweekly guaranteed for 12 hour shifts; 80 hour biweekly guaranteed for 8 hour shifts. It may or may not be split evenly between weeks.
