The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a US Distribution Manager to add to our team to oversee 5 Distribution Centers for our US Portable Farm Division. The US Distribution Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of the U.S. Branch locations with a focus on consistency and professional customer service. The US Distribution Manager plans, develops, recruits, trains, and oversees the US Branch operations and staff. The incumbent will coordinate warehouse activities to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Also, they will provide direction and resolution for escalated customer inquiries and ensures production deadlines meet customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Build a high performing team of local leaders / supervisors / leads. Support the Branch Managers with training and process improvement.
- Proactively work to maintain safe and healthy working conditions, to adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injury and illness and to observe all governmental, regional and company safety and health regulations.
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed including environmental and social governance.
- With the support of HR: select, motivate mentor and develop personnel, take ownership of retention; train and educate staff as necessary.
- Own the quality system: warranty tracking, response to internal and external quality issues. Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Develop and administer quarterly inventory management plan, including appropriate whole good and parts numbers at warehouses and Dealer Stock Points.
- Develop and implement a quality control program for set up augers at warehouses and Dealer Stock Points.
- Develop and implement a Dealer Stock Point inventory audit plan. Maintain and implement Stock Point Agreements.
- Approve exception to program guidelines within previously established limits, and makes recommendations for items in excess.
- Ensure operational budget is being met, including approval of capital expenditures within approval limits.
- Annual review of all Stock Point locations with US Sales. Work cross functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Sales Execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years related operations management experience required.
- Strong mathematical aptitude.
