MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent
or GED and one year full-time, wage-earning mechanical experience
involving the maintenance and repair of diesel or gas-burning
equipment or farm implements
** or **
thirty semester hours from a college or university accredited by an
organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education
(USDE) with six semester hours of farm equipment repair courses
** or **
graduation from an accredited technical school with a certificate(s)
in the field of internal combustion engine repair or maintenance or
farm implement maintenance and repair.
2. Experience in the supervision of employees or inmates preferred.
* Must have or be able to obtain a current Environmental Protection
Agency approved Type 609 Universal Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling
Certification within six months of employment date.
Must maintain valid certification for continued employment in position.
Selected applicants without required license(s) must sign a
Credential Contingency Agreement that will remain in effect
only until the initially established expiration date.
Failure to comply with this contingency statement will result
in separation from employment. Credential Contingency Agreements
will not be extended or renewed as a result of an employee's
separation from employment or acceptance of another position.
**The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will
be $3,323.44.**
The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally

**Maintenance Supervisor positions are eligible for a $5,000 Recruiting
Bonus. In order to receive the bonus, the employee must be full-time
and newly hired or scheduled to graduate from the Academy on or after
