We are looking for someone passionate about agricultural sciences, technology, and education, who can engage students and maintain our program's high standards.
Duration: August 21, 2024 - November 22, 2024
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach various agriculture and technology courses, focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that align with curriculum standards.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Manage classroom resources and equipment effectively.
- Work with other educators and staff to support student learning and school events.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
Qualifications:
- Connecticut certification in the appropriate discipline or certification eligible preferred, Agricultural Education (040 or 041).
- If not certified, candidates must be eligible to apply for the State of CT ED175 Long Term Sub over 40 days authorization.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Specialization in mechanics and engineering is a bonus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students in the classroom.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic school environment.
