JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Part-time teaching assistants will help prepare laboratory materials and plants including packing pots, planting seeds, watering, thinning, and monitoring plant growth. TAs also help teach lab sessions with lab groups of up to 8 students each, including assisting students with understanding lab protocols and devising their experimental plans, and writing up their lab report results and interpreting their data. TAs also help with lab setup before the start of labs, including distribution of materials, and cleanup after the lab is over, including wiping down work areas and handing inoculated plant materials.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review here.
