Compute, classify, and record numerical data to assist in keeping financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded.
Essential Functions:
The Accountant position reports to and assist the Director of Financial & Reporting with daily financial accounting functions. Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of the Accounting Department to meet company objectives in an extended absence of or as directed by the Director of Financial Planning & Reporting. Will support and adhere to the Philosophy, Values and Commitment to Quality mission statements of Ag ProVision, LLC.
Process daily drop ships and prepare daily drop ship watchlist
Print invoices and process sales update
Month end invoicing for pallet storage, rent, special arrangements
New Vendor setup as approved by Customer Support
Maintain current vendor contact information - address, points of contact, banking instructions
Maintain certificates of insurance and identify/monitor compliance requirements
Respond to vendor requests for Ag ProVision's certificate of insurance
Coordinate with Customer Support for vendor follow-up regarding delivery status, invoices
Monitor Accounts Receivable emails
Resolve customer complaints and answer customer questions
Enter customer payments on account
This position will cross-train with other positions in the Accounting Department
Prepare bank deposits
Apply owner prepayments to invoices as directed; reconcile balances with customer weekly
Monitor Accounts Receivable Aging for appropriate follow-up with customers, maintain documentation to support details of customer response regarding payment status
Collect and analyze accounting reports to determine the completeness of accuracy of rebate accruals and related payments to owners
Assist with month end close duties as directed
Assist with annual audit as directed
Sales Tax: Participate in review of setups in accounting system
CONFIDENTIALITY A MUST
Serve on Emergency Action Team and Party Planning Committee
Other Administrative duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field
Five years work experience in related fields of Customer Support, Accounting, and/or Purchasing
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Intermediate skill set with Microsoft Office Products
