What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at Agape Ranch?
The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing events and fundraisers that support the mission of Agape Ranch. The primary focus of this position is to support capital fundraising efforts while successfully driving brand awareness in the communities that we serve. The Event Coordinator is expected to develop and maintain beneficial corporate and individual relationships, including volunteer connections. The position also includes administrative support functions to maintain our ability to report effectively to granting agencies and donors alike.

Major Responsibilities
- This position is responsible for the implementation of
- Leave a Legacy 5K (Feb/Mar),
- Foster Care Awareness Month Events (May),
- Legacy Gala (September),
- National Adoption Month (November),
- End of Year Giving (December), and
- Additional fundraising/awareness opportunities as available.
- Meet or exceed goals through volunteer recruitment and engagement as well as through corporate development.
- Ability to recruit and mobilize volunteers to achieve goals.
- Maintain year-round relationships with key corporate sponsors and constituents to ensure involvement in all relevant activities and recognition opportunities.
- Seek and implement new strategies like peer-to-peer giving, corporate donor matching opportunities and private donor matching to further the mission of Agape Ranch.
- Maintains current understanding of organizational goals and initiatives, focus areas, successes, and overall results to effectively communicate to donors and at community events.

Knowledge and Skills
- Professionally undertake a variety of administrative management tasks.
- Assist with programs, events, and activities as well as carry out important operational duties.
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working with diverse teams and community partners.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of proven experience in event management.
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Blackbaud or eTapestry, Adobe Acrobat, and social media.
- Ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent in work experience.
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and flexible hours.
- Employment contingent upon results of Federal fingerprinting screenings.
- This position requires sitting for extended periods of time while on the computer and telephone, bending to file, lifting approximately 30 pounds, and out-of-office public contact.

Good Faith Commitment
The first year of this job will be the training year as most of our events are done annually. We are looking for someone who is willing to give a good faith commitment for at least three years in order to prevent retraining each year. This is a wish of Agape Ranch, but not a requirement.

Pay: $27,300.00 - $33,150.00 per year
