Who We Are Looking For:

AGCO, a global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural solutions, has an exciting career opportunity for a Production Manager to join our team in Hesston, KS.  The Production Manager is responsible for the overall flow of material through Hesston Plant 3 Welding.  The Production Manager will be responsible for defining and analyzing the current state of all processes involved in product flow, developing the future state, and creating and implementing the strategies needed to eliminate waste and reach the future state.  A key part of this process is the development of direct reports and the general deployment of lean thinking throughout Plant 3.

What Will You Do:

• Drive targeted, sustainable improvement in SQDC/P (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost/Productivity.) 
• Safety - Provide consistent leadership by ensuring safety rules, policies, procedures and processes are followed.  Use a planned approach to improve operator ergonomics.
• Coach and develop direct reports, creating a succession plan that brings stability.
• Develop key performance indicators that feed into corporate goals.  Communicate goals and progress to reports and Senior Ops Manager.  Identify gaps, prioritize problems, and lead/coach continual Kaizen to close gaps.  Practice and teach Lean tools.
• Gemba – go and see the process.  Look for and coach flow, safety, 5S, standard work, visual processes, and problem solving.
• Train and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.                                   

• Manages production supervisors who supervise numerous employees in Plant 3. 
• Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Plant 3.
• Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Engineering
• 3  years of experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing setting.
• 3  years of experience managing continuous improvement teams and projects to assure attainment in the business’ Strategic and KPI targets.
