Senior Cost Accountant

Who We Are Looking For

The Senior Cost Accountant is a key member of the operations finance team partnering with the Plant Controllers while having direct reporting lines into the Cost Accounting Manager. Responsibilities include but not limited to supporting the Operation Team by monitoring and reviewing inventory reporting, perform month end closing procedures, assisting in the annual budget process, preparing internal financial/costing reports, and verify savings, respectively, ensuring that proper internal controls are in place and accounting policies are in accordance with US GAAP and Company policy. 

What You Will Do

• Analyze and assist plants with financial reports related to expenditures and inventory
• Perform operational and financial analyzes within business units and present findings and recommendation to manager
• Assist in streamlining business processes at business unit level to achieve business goals
• Assist in preparation and evaluation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
• Prepare internal reporting package including operating metrics, financial controls and performance indicators that will help in improving business performance
• Work with plants to improve inventory process and controls
• Assist in cycle counting process overview

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3-5 Years in manufacturing

A Plus If You Have

• CPA or CMA
• SOX and SAP knowledge
• Ability to analyze data and develop strategic recommendations.
• Passion to continually improve personal and business performance
• Technical acumen towards cost accounting
