What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Painter position at AGCO?
Core Responsibilities
- Set up paint booth to paint product
- Ability to paint using wet spray booth/tools provided
- Mask product as necessary
- Complete all the daily startup and shutdown activities of the paint booth/kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness and origination of the paint kitchen and paint booth
- Cleaning of product before it is painted
- Maintain all aspects of paint booth, paint pods, paint kitchen, and wash stations
- Test operation of machines periodically
- Check product for flaws and rework as necessary
- Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Skills/Requirements
- Proven experience as a paint technician
- Working knowledge of wet paint systems
- Understanding of production procedures
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, etc.
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED (or relevant experience in lieu of)
