Lead Painter

Core Responsibilities

• Set up paint booth to paint product
• Ability to paint using wet spray booth/tools provided
• Mask product as necessary
• Complete all the daily startup and shutdown activities of the paint booth/kitchen
• Maintain cleanliness and origination of the paint kitchen and paint booth
• Cleaning of product before it is painted
• Maintain all aspects of paint booth, paint pods, paint kitchen, and wash stations
• Test operation of machines periodically
• Check product for flaws and rework as necessary
• Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

Skills/Requirements

• Proven experience as a paint technician
• Working knowledge of wet paint systems
• Understanding of production procedures
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, etc.
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED (or relevant experience in lieu of)
