Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists and supports loan officers in gathering thorough and complete financial information from customers in a timely and efficient manner. Coordinates with AgCountry Farm Accounting Specialists in collecting and inputting financial information where AgCountry is providing record services to the customer. Analyzes gathered customer information and classifies assets and liabilities. Assembles balance sheets and historical earnings statements, including market adjustments, accrual adjustments, debt schedules, and preliminary reconciliation. Prepares projections, working capital deficiency, and capital and repayment analysis. Conducts verification and other related tasks, as delegated, or directed by loan officer. May upload financial documents into applicable systems. This position may be the branch lead person in obtaining credit reports and chattel searches.
Works closely with Loan Officers and Farm Accounting Specialists in producing a complete financial information package required in making credit decisions. Scores loans through the Enterprise Decision Engine (EDE). Upon EDE scoring, determines if exposure requires manual adjustments for internal refinance or if special programs apply. Receives new borrower application and inputs customer information into AgWorx. In the traditional loan analysis process, accurately and efficiently inputs financial information in the credit analysis software. Reviews UCC search to evaluate lien position. Reconciles UCC results against borrower’s financials. Examines appraisal or valuation of chattel collateral. Assesses, reviews, and identifies trends for accuracy of financial performance from customer financial statements. Evaluates loan application to determine if information is complete.
Serves as a branch resource in providing support of credit analysis software. Works closely with the credit department to communicate software changes and updates to branch personnel.
Develops knowledge and expertise in agricultural credit to understand how information is interrelated.
Provides administrative support to branch operations. Provides backup and support for branch staff in credit and related services areas.
Required Qualifications:
Associate degree (AA) in business administration, accounting, agriculture, or related field; or equivalent work experience
0-2 years’ experience in agricultural credit and operations or other related field
Knowledge of the financial services industry and commercial banking
Knowledge of lending disciplines and credit standards preferred
Knowledge of real estate servicing procedures and terminology preferred
Demonstrated ability to work with others, strong teamwork, and coordination skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform tasks during periods of high stress and workload.
