Role Type: Full-time with benefits
Compensation: $36,000 - $39,000
Location: 2001 Lake Point Way PO Box 23570 Louisville, KY 40223
Work Hours: 8:30 AM to 5 PM (flexible hours offered) - Currently Remote with a hybrid plan in the future

Sales Support Specialist Role:
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Group Benefits department in accurate and timely new business quotes, renewals, renewal alternates, new case implementation, and other general employee benefits questions asked by our agents.
Sales Support Specialist Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- A college degree can be substituted with 1 year of experience in customer service
- Familiarity with accounting or finance preferred
Sales Support Specialist Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Repetitive motions
- Little physical effort required

- Ability to adapt to changes in project scope and varying deliverables
- Ability to explain and understand complex business concepts

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate experience in the use of Microsoft Excel
- General knowledge of health, life, and disability plans is preferred but not required
Sales Support Specialist Day-to-Day:
- Data entry of new sold groups into the carrier systems, requesting new business quotes using carrier systems and providing alternate quotes for renewal groups.
- Support agent needs and be the subject matter expert for health, life, dental and other specialty products.
- Assist in sending renewals to our agents, responding to all quote requests within 48 hours, reviewing sold cases within three days of receipt and returning phones calls within 24 hours of receipt
- Remain abreast of the health insurance environment and constantly changing insurance legislation and carrier plan offerings
- Respond to routine and non-routine correspondence.
- Work independently and within the team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects
- Maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
- Within 6 months of employment, study for and obtain health and life insurance license
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
