Roles and Responsibilities:
The following are the roles & responsibilities for the candidate:
Oversee incoming materials receiving and delivery operations and the GMP materials warehouse at the Lexington site and support the receiving and delivery operations
Direct, plan, schedule and procure GMP materials & supplies to maintain inventory levels in support of Lexington manufacturing operations
Oversee requisitions for GMP materials/services/equipment for the Lexington site
Coordinate disposition of GMP materials with the Lexington Quality and Manufacturing teams
Manage the GMP part number assignment program for the Lexington site
Oversee materials expiry, recertification and replenishment of GMP materials & supplies inventory
Support supplier/service selection and negotiations for price, quality, timely delivery and specifications in coordination with the Procurement team for Lexington GMP materials & supplies
Work with the Manufacturing & Quality teams to identify secondary vendors for GMP Materials
Further develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and materials inventory systems for the Lexington GMP operation
Manage and document incoming vendor change notifications
Contribute to the building of a global materials control system with the eventual goal to move to a fully paper-less system via an ERP system
Maintain Vendor/Supplier metrics & performance measures and maintain vendor relationships
Oversee daily transactions for inventory control in ERP system and further develop system capabilities
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in materials management field preferred with at least 2 years of working experience in managing a GMP warehouse and receipts operation and a materials control operation. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Skills:
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of GMP requirements and compliant inventory management systems
Able to work within a compliant environment following and developing company SOPs & policies
Thorough understanding of processes involved in planning, procurement, receiving, delivery and management of materials and services
Proactive approach to solve day to day issues and working with internal team to implement effective preventative and corrective actions
Able to teach and mentor team members
Experience with an ERP system (preferable to be Oracle)
