Position Summary:
Based in Greater Boston, and reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Head of Total Rewards & HR Operations will be a core member of the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), and have overall responsibility for the strategy, design, and operation of Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, HRIS, and the HR Service Center. The role is enterprise-wide and supports our corporate employees as well as a significant contact center employee population.
The objective of this role is three-fold:
- Ensure that Agero has a compelling total rewards package that allows us to compete effectively for talent, while also aligning the incentives of our employees with our overall business objectives
- Ensure our core HR Operations are efficient, compliant, and scalable while providing a good employee and manager experience. Additionally, leverage our core HR data to provide reliable and replicable analysis and insights to the business and HR
- As a core member of the HRLT, help us lead the HR, and overall Agero, digital transformation
Key Responsibilities & Outcomes:
This individual will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and leadership of Total Rewards & HR Operations, including program and process design and implementation, administration, communication, compliance, system implementation, and vendor management while building a strong team of "A Players" and deep partnerships with HR colleagues and the business. Specifically:
Total Rewards
- Partner with the Chief People Officer and key business leaders to ensure we have a compelling overall Total Rewards strategy that is aligned with Agero's business goals and culture and enables us to attract and retain top talent in highly competitive markets
- Identify opportunities for improvement in existing programs
- Design, develop and implement any new programs or changes to existing programs, including new vendors, plan design, and funding
- Partner with Internal Communications to determine the appropriate communication strategy for compensation and specific benefits programs (open enrollment, health, and wellness, retirement). Ensure we have an employee education program that enables employees to understand their benefits, the value of those benefits, and available resources
HR Operations
- Lead HR Operations functions, including HRIS, the HR Service Center, and Payroll to allow HR activities and processes to scale efficiently while retaining flawless execution
- Identify capabilities within HRIS, Payroll, and the HR Service Center that can be streamlined and more effective, including new systems/vendors, improved processes, and enhanced skills
- Oversee effective configuration and integration of new systems
- Ensure data integrity and "one source of truth" for HR data, and leverage data for reporting, analytics, decisions support, and insights about our talent base
Leadership, Partnership & Influence
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Agero's business and talent strategies to inform the overall approach to Total Rewards and HR Operations
- Understand the key decisions makers and influencers across the business and build trusted advisor relationships with them
- Act as a strategic partner to the Chief People Officer and other senior leaders across the company, as well as a key partner to your peers on the HRLT
- Build strong partnerships with colleagues across HR, and ensure the Total Rewards and HR Operations teams are strong partners to the business and other areas of HR
- Build a strong team of A-players that model Agero's culture and values. Lead, motivate and develop the team.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 10 years of progressive private company Total Rewards experience, including demonstrated expertise in the design, implementation, funding, compliance, administration, and communication of employee benefits and innovative compensation and incentive programs
- 5 years of experience with HRIS systems, including significant implementations
- Experience driving results in both a highly competitive technical space as well as a high volume, non-exempt space.
- Combines setting strategic direction with the ability to execute
- Brings innovative knowledge and a point of view, while remaining open to others' ideas and perspectives
- Thinks creatively about potential solutions to business demands, produces different options, and drives discussion to determine the best course of action.
- Strong partnership and collaborative mindset, with superior relationship and influencing skills
