What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Finisher position at Aggie Maintenance?
Concrete Finisher
Duties:
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning, leveling, and smoothing
- Set up concrete forms and ensure they are properly aligned and secured
- Pour concrete into forms and spread it evenly using hand tools or mechanical equipment
- Use various techniques to finish concrete surfaces, such as troweling, edging, and stamping
- Apply sealants or coatings to protect and enhance the appearance of the finished concrete
- Repair damaged or deteriorating concrete structures as needed
Qualifications:
- Experience in concrete finishing or related field preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Knowledge of drywall, carpentry, tile laying, metal stud framing, and other construction skills is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions
- Valid driver's license for commercial driving is an asset
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as concrete pumps is advantageous
