Senior Software Developer - TS Clearance Required - Fully Remote

Description: The Senior Software Developer must possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.

Senior Software Developer Job Duties:

In addition to the requirements for a senior level SME, this individual shall also possess the following skills and experience:

• Extensive experience with CJIS dot-delimited messaging formats.
• Extensive experience in system-to-system web services development and Java.
• General experience with NLETS service interfaces and message keys.
• Extensive experience with XML based message formats used by FBI CJIS systems.
• Extensive experience with EBTS messaging formats.
• General experience with FBI criminal history data.
• Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software. Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
• Researches, tests, builds, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
• Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
• Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.

Security Clearance Requirements: Active Secret / Top Secret (TS). Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying.

Experience Requirements: Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives. Has domain and expert technical knowledge. Directs and controls activities for a client, having overall responsibility for financial management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met. Interactions involve client negotiations and interfacing with senior management. Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in computer science, computer engineering, or closely related field; or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Desired Skills / Qualifications: Will possess the ability to focus on messaging with state/local/federal/tribal partners. This coordination will be very technical in nature and will require expertise in both legacy and target messaging formats.

Status: Full time

Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday

Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
