Job Description Join a growing team with this exciting new opportunity for a Process Controls Engineer at our Frederick, Colorado GMP facility. Work in our dynamic, fast paced, API-Biopharma manufacturing environment with the ability to contribute to the growing industry of oligonucleotide (DNA-RNA) based therapeutics. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Subject Matter Expert for Plant Control System (PCS), Plant SCADA, Building Automation System (BAS), and automation/controls systems associated with various independent bioprocessing skids for new capital install. Support and lead design and execution needed to ensure successful install and start-up of control systems for GMP manufacturing operations. Responsible for project management of automation/integration design and implementation activities on capital projects including managing automation contractors. Responsible for Plant Control System Detailed Design Specifications, relevant Change Controls, Data Integrity assurance, and compliance with 21CFR11. Support Validation activities including review and execution of automation Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test (FAT/SAT) protocols. Perform job functions and responsibilities independently and with limited direction. Work with above site and on-site IT services to provide end products. Qualifications Required : Bachelor or Master Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent. 5 or more years of combined experience with automation/controls in pharma/biopharma and fine chemicals industry. Preferred: 5 or more years of experience with Rockwell Automation RSLogix 5000, GE Proficy iFix, FactoryTalkView, Allen-Bradley CompactLogix, and ControlLogix Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), PanelViews, Allen-Bradley Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Thin Manager, Win911 alarm notification software and BMS/BAS system design/install. Knowledge of OT design principals, network architecture, virtual machines, and Thin Client architecture. 4 or more years of experience working in a GMP / FDA regulated environment. Familiarity with Title 21 CFR Part 11Data Integrity Fundamentals Ability to interpret and create electrical one-line diagrams and controls drawings. Familiarity with P-IDs, bioprocessing unit operations and associated equipment. Self-motivated, hands-on problem solver with the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
