The Accounts Receivable Representative I's main priority is to apply payment to open invoices for customers daily, making sure the payments are applied accurately.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Payment application
- Efficiently, timely and accurately post adjustments
- Verify authorization numbers
- Researches unidentifiable payments
- Call customers regarding questions on payments
- Assisting with completion of daily reports
- Interacts in a professional manner with all teammates in order to promote a cohesive work environment
- File paid/closed invoices
- Assist department with location necessary documents
- Verify and void any errors
- Enter and process payment information
- Computer literacy in standard office applications
- Charge Card billings are to be matched with receipts handed in by those that are authorized to do so
- Analyzing and interpreting data
- Sit, stand and bend up to 8 hours
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- High School/GED required
- Basic accounting experience; 1 year (preferred)
- Payment posting; 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping; 1 year (preferred)
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Possess good interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Facilitates work production results by incorporating exceptional planning and organizational skills
- Applies analytical skills to pre-established work processes that may require preparation of reports or documents
- Good communication and critical thinking skills
- Good attendance and punctuality required
- Promotes a philosophy that is customer driven with excellent service results
