About this Role
Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Junior Automation Engineer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with foundational skills in AWS, Terraform, and automation tools to further develop their expertise in a hands-on environment. You will work closely with a senior database engineer to support automation tasks and infrastructure deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize AWS services such as RDS, S3, Athena, ECS, Lambda, AWS Organizations, and IAM for automation tasks.
- Develop and modify Terraform modules to deploy database services on AWS.
- Assist in modifying Python-based Lambda functions under the guidance of a senior database engineer.
- Automate Postgres infrastructure deployment and repetitive on-prem server tasks using Ansible.

The Ideal Candidate
- Basic understanding of AWS services, particularly RDS, S3, Athena, ECS, Lambda, AWS Organizations, and IAM policy setup.
- Familiarity with developing and deploying database infrastructure using Terraform.
- Experience in writing or modifying Terraform modules for AWS deployments.
- Basic Python programming skills, especially for modifying Lambda functions.
- Understanding of Ansible for automating infrastructure deployment and server tasks.
- Ability to work under supervision and collaborate with senior engineers on complex automation tasks.
Salary : $30 - $36
