Qualifications:
Incumbent will be assigned to the Sunflower and Plant Biology Research Unit located at the Edward T. Schafer Agricultural Research Center in Fargo, ND. The project involves collaborative research with the University of Alaska-Fairbanks to evaluate annual and perennial cover and cereal crops suitable for soils of colder climates with a goal of improving soil health and sustainable food security systems for the northern U.S.
This position requires a Ph.D in Genetics with emphasis on cereal crops, or agronomy or a related field of study that has equipped the applicant with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Applicants must meet basic Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standard's requirements of the scientific discipline necessary to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
