Lawn Care Specialist

Pay based on experience 40,000

Pro-Turf Services, serving lawn care and sports turf maintenance needs for customers in the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas, is looking for a high energy, self-starting individual with a strong work ethic to fill the role of turf care specialist. This individual will actively apply turf products to lawns, maintain equipment, and assist the agronomy/energy location team during winter and off-season opportunities. Company pays and helps train for all required spray application license and commercial driving license.

Responsibilities:

· Apply dry and liquid turf products to customer lawns

· Deliver lawn inputs to customers

· Learn to operate backpack sprayer, ride-on spreader/sprayer, lawn tractor for seeding, aeration equipment, spray equipment (up to 18’ boom) and fork lift

· Maintain turf and agronomy equipment

· Identify turf pests and weed issues to communicate to the turf lead

· Communicate both verbally and in writing with customers to ensure excellent service and help grow business

· Assist agronomy department

Requirements:

· Excellent work ethic and demonstrated self-starting skills

· Good map reading skills (knowledge of Des Moines metro area preferred) and strong math skills

· Good driving record; pass a pre-employment drug test

· Ability to climb, crawl, reach and lift up to 75 pounds

· Ability to pass all certification tests, obtain a CDL (Company will assist in getting a CDL)

Pay: $38,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Lawn care: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
• Turf Spray License (Preferred)
