Job Overview
The Internal Audit Staff will assist the Internal Audit Manager to ensure AGS has documented its system of internal controls in accordance with the COSO 2017 framework, test internal controls as a basis for management’s assessment, and work with external auditors to assist in the annual audit of controls and financial statements. The Internal Audit Staff will also perform operational and ad hoc audits and projects and consult with management across all business lines and locations.
Responsibilities
- Exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
Performance Audits
- Perform audits of internal controls sufficient to provide a basis for management’s assessment of internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and areas ready for operational audits.
Reporting
- Assist the Internal Audit Manager in documenting, processing, and preparing audit findings memoranda and control deficiency summaries.
- Assist the Internal Audit Manager in monitoring prior audit findings and performing follow-up audits.
Work Experience, Education and Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience within a public company, multi-location company, or SEC reporting environment or combination of audit experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field required.
- Excellent oral and written communications and strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to operate effectively and efficiently under time pressures and deadlines.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuverer around an office/production setting, work at a desk/workstation and respond to written and oral cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment.
- May be required to bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs.
This position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.
