Summary of Position:

  

 






 

 

  • Provide painting and preparation for paint support to the P145 team by
  • Preparing Aircraft for painting, to include sanding, stripping, sand blasting, and other means.
  • Painting aircraft according to specified details provided by customer and Leonardo program management to include detailing, logo’s, colors, lettering, decals and stencils.
  • Painting aircraft parts and components for the Overhaul and Structures shops, to include sanding, stripping, sand blasting, and other means.
  • Working within the SAP system for documenting work performed, sign-offs and logging of time on jobs
  • Maintain and manage all records associated with Paint booth located within the P145 footprint
  • Maintain and manage all records associated with AS9100, FAA and Leonardo processes and policies
  • Maintain and manage all paint and consumables within expiration dates and in compliance with all regulatory processes and procedures.
  • While performing duties, employee will be frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving parts and vibration. Employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. 
  • Position is very active. Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Employee mush frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.
  



 


 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.

Prepare Aircraft for painting to include sanding, cleaning and priming

Paint Aircraft according to specified details provided by the customer/PM’s to include detailing, logo’s, colors, lettering, decals and stencils

Paint/Prep aircraft parts/components for the Overhaul and Sheetmetal shops

4.

Work daily within the SAP system to record all work performed and logging of all time associated with each job

5.

Maintain and manage all records regarding paint booth in P145 hangar

6.

Maintain and manage all paint and consumables within expiration dates and in compliance with AS9100, Leonardo and FAA processes and procedures

7.

Work overtime and travel as needed

10

8.

Ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner and follow AWPC’s clean as you go policy.

9.

Perform other duties and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned

10.

Ability to wear and utilize respirators per OHSA regulations

5

Qualifications for Position:

  


 Education

High school degree

Experience

  1. At least 15 years of Paint experience in aviation. 
  2. Ability to prioritize work and lead paint related projects.
  3. Ability to organize multiple ongoing activities.
  4. Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Programs.
  5. Knowledgeable and proficient in SAP and workorder management

Licensure/Certification

Ability to obtain Repairman’s Certificate from the FAA PMI
