Full Job Description
The Food Runner serves guests and assists the Food Server, Bus Person, Bar, and Kitchen teams while providing prompt tableside service and genuine hospitality to everyone. The Food Runner is serves as a liaison to the kitchen team and must relay timely information from the dining room. Food Runner understands the cycle of service, has complete knowledge of food delivery etiquette, sections, table numbers, position numbers.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
. Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner with eye contact and intention
. Communicates the needs of guests to co-workers, kitchen, and management.
. Full knowledge and understanding of all food menu items.
. Expedite food from the kitchen to the tables as dictated by sequence of service and by the Chef, expeditor, or management.
. Is aware of all upcoming orders, status of tables expecting food, and relays this information to the Chefs and Management
. Always verbally communicates and calls back with the expeditor to ensure that food goes to the correct table and position
. Checks that each table is set with proper silverware before delivering food.
. Ensures proper set up, labeling, stocking and delivery of alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.
. Assists with moving chairs and tables as needed based on the floor plan
. Responsible for performing table maintenance by checking on the guest throughout service.
. Completing opening and closing side work.
. Maintaining health code standards.
. Maintain table cleanliness utilizing a silent service approach.
. Maintain a level of professionalism.
. Anticipate the guests’ needs and responding appropriately with a sense of urgency.
. Work as a team, assisting all guests’ and employees’ needs and inquiries.
. Perform all other job-related duties as requested.
. Full knowledge of designated china and garnishes for all food menu items.
. Complete opening, closing, and ongoing side duties not limited to fold/stack napkins, polish glassware, polish silverware, stock glassware, restock china, restock supply cabinets and service stations, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.

. Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation in accordance with Clark County Health Standards
. Ability to initiate and maintain an upbeat and relaxed environment on a consistent basis.
. Adhere to and enforce company specific safety policies.
. Consistently maintain a well-groomed appearance, posture and hygiene deemed by management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $7.00 - $14.00 per hour
