Dishwasher Freeport Center Job Opening in Freeport, NY at AHRC Nassau

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher Freeport Center position at AHRC Nassau?

Dishwashers clean and restock dinnerware, utensils, and glassware and assist other staff members by handling other cleaning and prep tasks.

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

Washes all wares including pots, plans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.

Correctly places and stores clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.

May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.

Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.

Sweeping and mopping floors, especially if items are broken or spilled.

Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes.

Ability to work with various water temperatures.

Performs other duties as requested by supervisor and/or administration.

High School diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
Exceptional time management skills.
Ability to withstand different water temperatures
Ability to stand or walk for 6-8 hour shifts and lift at least 10 pounds
Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.
Ability to follow verbal and written directions, perform assigned related tasks with minimal supervision.

Physical aspects may include but are not limited to lifting and transferring of food supplies.
