Under the direction of the HR Operations Manager, the HR Analyst is responsible for a variety of compensation, protected leave, and accommodation programs to ensure validity and accuracy of these programs and apply appropriate regulations and law. This position may also be assigned to oversee or implement employee relation programs, and a variety of HR programs and initiatives to support a department or the HR team in total.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and updating job descriptions as new positions are created, or current position roles are updated.
- Responsible for compensation process and structure maintenance lifecycle to include, but not limited to: pricing of new job requests, placement in compensation structure, internal equity considerations, promotions, new hire pay requests, and program enhancements as requested.
- Responsible for implementation and administration of compensation programs such as annual pay increases, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and spot bonuses.
- Uses available compensation surveys to obtain and analyze market pay data for job pricing and placement of positions within the internal structure.
- Reviews job reclassifications and makes classification/pay level determinations and recommendations.
- Works with hiring managers and Business Partners to complete recruitment and selection (R&S) plans as requested
- Provide Ahtna data to annual industry salary surveys in which Ahtna participates.
- Cross-trains in other functional areas of the HR Operations team to provide support as needed.
HR Analyst II
The HR Analyst II may perform above duties listed under HR Analyst I, as well as functions below.
- Provides high level support to subsidiary leadership and HR Business Partners with employee relations issues including but not limited to investigations and corrective action requests.
- Works with on-site staff to manage implementation of accommodations as necessary.
Qualification Requirements
- Associate degree in business administration, human resources, or related field Experience may substitute for education on a 1:1 basis
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in human resources or related field with at least two (2) years working in any HR specialized area of work.
HR Analyst II
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or related field Experience may substitute for education on a 1:1 basis
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in human resources or related field with at least two (2) years working in any HR specialized area of work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of experience working in compensation
- Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures
HR Analyst II
- Four (4) years of experience working in compensation
- Experience and knowledge of Alaska Native cultures

Salary : $51,600 - $65,400
