Our Quantitative Portfolio Strategies (QPS) team provides solutions and support to AIG’s Investment decision making process with the goal of enhancing our strategic planning capabilities.

About the role

As an UI/UX Web Designer, you will help the team to envision, design, and test web-based systems, dashboards, analytics tools, and resources supporting Investments Analytics’ internal clients. We expect the resulting applications to be coherent with the team’s vision, robust, and designed with user-centricity in mind and a clear focus on usability.

• Envision and design web-based data-oriented applications.
• Support the development of web-based applications, dashboards, tools, and resources with wireframes, prototypes, sitemaps, storyboards, mockups, etc.
• Be the go-to person within the Investments Analytics team for broad graphic design and visual identity resources and systems for models, processes, services, communications, and products.
• Collaborate with other team members and functions to understand the systems architecture and platforms and deliver design resources as needed by developers.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team in strengthening our analytics value proposition by understanding our users, their needs, expectations, and the opportunities of to add value.
• Run user testing sessions and gather and implement feedback appropriately.
• Propose solutions to enhance the portfolio allocation design workflow, in regards of its supporting applications, consistent with the team’s vision and roadmap.
• Coordinate with the rest to the team to plan and schedule activities, communicate the status of deliverables, showcase and review prototypes and artifacts, and retrospect on our methodologies.
• Provide support to the users of these designs by documenting them, guiding them in their usage, showcasing their use case scenarios, and getting feedback.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and Figma.
• Experience with front-end design and development tools like HTML/CSS/Bootstrap with knowledge of responsive design.
• Previous experience in developing corporate web-based applications and business analytics platforms.
• Demonstrated capability with visual design, including color, space, typography, iconography, graphics, illustration within the bounds of corporate guidelines.
• Action bias and empirical approach to problem-solving.
• Strong ability to deal with ambiguity and cope with changes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to present quantitative solutions clearly to both internal and external clients.
• Team oriented; able to collaborate with a range of functional teams and resolve conflicts as necessary.
