Job Summary
The Food Runner creates an excellent dining experience for members and guests by anticipating their needs and serving them in a professional and efficient manner. Provide food and beverage items in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional and timely manner.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations).
- Requires the ability to read write and speak the English language.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; includes the ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience whether oral or written.
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Confirm that all orders from the kitchen are accurate, have all required condiments and are presentable then serve to the member/guest. •Always address the member/guest by name. •Anticipate the members/guests needs. •Observe member/guest to respond to any additional requests and to determine when service has been completed. •Responsible for monitoring supplies, maintaining stock and keeping the kitchen/café areas in a clean and orderly fashion at all times. •Responsible for assisting the servers in keeping sections and service areas in a clean and orderly fashion. •Responsible for collecting/maintaining baskets throughout the course of the shift. •Maintain a "full hands out, full hands in" perspective. •Monitor kitchen times and relay times to servers/management. •Maintain complete knowledge of menu, alcoholic beverages, specials and 86'd items. •Complete daily/weekly checklists of duties and monitor supplies. •Performs other related duties as assigned by manager. •Other duties may be assigned as business demands.
