Job Summary

The Web Designer creates the look, layout, and features of the website for the AMT Group, Inc. and its affiliated companies. This position understands graphic design, marketing, and web fundamentals. The Web Designer helps with maintenance and additions to the website, along with other graphic design and HTML projects. The successful candidate is responsible for working with development teams and/or managers for keeping the site and all marketing materials up-to-date, and prioritizing needs, among other tasks.

Essential Functions, Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Create, update, and maintain design assets for the AMT Group, Inc. and its affiliated companies.
  2. Create and update marketing materials across a variety of mediums to include but not limited to; print, large format, e-mail, websites, etc.
  3. Manage data related to our marketing projects.
  4. Incorporate SEO best practices into web design strategies.
  5. Manage, manipulate, and touch-up photography projects.
  6. Integrate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) with individual websites.
  7. Responsible for market and competitive research.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain and optimize email templates constantly; drive mobile design and innovation; ensure emails are viewable on mobile devices.  
  • Work closely with Marketing Manager and the marketing team on implementing brand standards 
  • Stay on top of email build and design best practices.
  • Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling.
  • Creation of digital graphics for use in emails, on websites, for we-ads, and the like. 
  • Collaborate with web development team on HTML content across all company websites.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Web Design, Graphic Design Digital Design or a related Computer Technology field.
  2. 3 years of web design experience.
  3. Proficient with HTML and CSS.
  4. Understanding of layout aesthetics.
  5. Hands-on experience with Responsive Web Design and Web Accessibility.
  6. An understanding of the entire web design process, including design, development and deployment, with some back-end knowledge.
  7. Adobe Creative Suite experience.
  8. Experience with marketing CRM software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. An understanding of the entire web design process, including design, development and deployment, with some back-end knowledge.
  2. Experience with HubSpot CRM platform.
  3. Photography and/or videography skillsets including shooting and editing. 
  4. Experience with web design for SEO.
  5. Knowledge of Google suite (Google Analytics, Google Ads, YouTube, etc.)

Terms of employment

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hourly position.     

Hours

The general hours shall be Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with an hour break for lunch. The employee is expected to work forty (40) hours per week.   

 

 

Work Environment

Work is regularly performed in an office environment. This position has the ability to work a hybrid schedule with days split between in-office and at-home. Hybrid schedules need to be approved by supervisor.

Physical Demands  

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.   The employee is frequently required to sit.  The employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk.  The employee must occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 10 pounds.

            No travel required.
